I’m no economic genius.  Heck, my own finances are hard enough to manage.  But the provisions in the so called stimulus package being considered are anything but stimulating.

I’m still trying to give President Obama the benefit of the doubt.  Congresswoman Pelosi, on the other hand, deserves no such consideration.  She is useless to the American people.  Is this really the best leadership the House Dems can put forward?

Why the need to create a giant, winner-takes-all kind of solution?  This thing is so big, so complicated that Reps were not even reading it before voting for it.  Please, if you’re from a district in which the Congressman/woman admitted to not reading the whole thing then for the sake of the rest of us do NOT vote for them again.  Sheesh!

Without a doubt some version of this package is going to get approved.  Hopefully it will get a major pork reduction before it does.

And one final piece of advice, President Obama, please stop speaking on behalf of all Americans.  Rather than say, “Americans want this,” just say “I think this is best.”  Otherwise it is insulting.
