			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Started an 8 week <a href="http://fbdindy.com/weight-loss/">weight loss class</a> at Fitness By Design. Same principles of nutrition and calorie counting that I&#8217;ve done during the previous 10 months, so nothing new. I just need to knuckle down for a couple of months and make it to my original goal of getting to 250lbs. That will require 10lbs more or so.</p>
<p>Dialing it in will be tough. I need to stay on the lighter side of 2000 calories a day. Doesn&#8217;t take much to get to that, even eating &#8220;clean.&#8221;</p>
<p>Here are a few of the highlights from tonight&#8217;s class meeting:  <strong></strong></p>
<p><strong>At the grocery, shop the perimeter.</strong></p>
<p>Had never thought of it like that before. Makes sense. Whole foods (veggies &amp; fruit),lean meat, and low fat dairy are almost always around the edges of the store. The bad-for-you prepackaged and processed stuff is up and down the aisles (generally speaking).</p>
<p><strong>Buffalo is awesome!</strong></p>
<p>Leanest meat choice is buffalo. I had no idea. Cold-water fish is always a good choice but I will have to try some of the tatanka.</p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.traderjoes.com/">Trader Joes</a> FTW.</strong></p>
<p>Having this little store in the neighborhood is a real benefit. Lots of good, healthy food there at prices that are quite reasonable.  <strong>Beans are good.</strong> Already knew this. As always, I have Beans at every meal.</p>
<p><strong>High fructose corn syrup bad.</strong></p>
<p>Did you see <a href="http://www.foodincmovie.com/">Food Inc</a>? Sorry corn growers association. No way to pretty it up. We&#8217;d all be better off not consuming any of this stuff. We&#8217;ll need to do other things with all that corn.  I&#8217;m looking forward to future classes. Accountability will be good for me and I enjoy learning more about nutrition.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I tried to do it without the coaching help of my <a href="http://fbdindy.com/indianapolis-personal-trainers/chad-distler/">personal trainer</a>. Went to the gym. Did the same exercises but without the pain.  FAIL!</p>
<p>Pain is good. At least this kind of pain is. I know, ridiculous, but I&#8217;m getting addicted to the momentary muscle failure that occurs (not always so momentary) and the exquisite feelings of muscles being broken down.</p>
<p>On a few of the moves I could almost get to the same level of torture that Chad puts me through but not quite. What is it with these types? How can he get that little bit more out of me? OOoooh, he&#8217;s good.</p>
<p>Whatever it is, I&#8217;m convinced. A trainer makes a big difference. Chad, you were right.  I can&#8217;t say it enough. Fitness By Design has the <a href="http://www.fbdindy.com">best personal trainers in Indianapolis</a>.</p>
